Cataracts and the eyes


`A cataract is the opaqueness of the eye lens .Until some years ago it was thought that this was a cause of the ageing process and that little of Little or nothing could be done to prevent it

Today it is known that there is a rather close relationship between diet and the formation of cataracts.abundant use of foods containing Pro vitamin A and antioxidant vitamin C and E, such as vegetables, fruits and seeds can help prevent the formation of cataracts in old age .

Diabetes,the use of certain medications and exposure to ultraviolet and x-light,radiation also favor the formation of cataracts .

Vitamin C because of antioxidants properties of vitamin C,it prevents the development of cataracts,Acerlo,guava,currant,and kiwi are good source of this vitamin.
